The engagement of Karen Dearing and Brett Young has been announced. The bride elect is the daughter of Ronald and Bonnie Dearing of Dallas. She is employed as the Day Camp Director at Sky Ranch Camp in Van. The future groom is the son of Gary and Nancy Young of Manhattan, Kansas. He is employed by ETMC in Whitehouse. The couple plans to wed August 25 at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano.
