      The Tyler East All-Stars trounced the defending World Series champs Tuesday, to take a 2-0 record into the second half of pool play. Five Whitehouse varsity players are on the senior division team: Heath Mayo, Ryan Bell, Brady Attaway, Grant Brandon and Seth Cashion.

Lady Cats open year with loss to Carthage
      It was almost a perfect night for the Whitehouse Lady Cats, as the freshman and JV volleyball teams recorded wins and the varsity narrowly lost to Carthage. The season opener was a hard-fought contest, with the Lady Bulldogs ultimately prevailing in three games, 19-25, 23- 25 and 24-26.
