Whitehouse preparing for 'stage two'
      The Wildcat varsity football team finished up the "first stage" of the season as Coach Randy McFarlin referred to it by scrimmaging the Carthage Bulldogs last Friday night. "The first stage of the season starts with two-a-days and goes through the scrimmage with Carthage," said Coach McFarlin.

JV, freshman Cats scrimmage Bulldogs
Season opener tonight at home
      The Whitehouse JV and freshman football teams got their initial action last Friday night at home with both scrimmaging the Carthage Bulldogs. The JV managed two scores against the Bulldogs while giving up three scores, and the freshman pitched a shutout on defense while scoring once on offense.

Lady Tigers split games
      Troup's Lady Tigers played a dual match with Henderson and Chapel Hill last week, defeating the Lady Bulldogs but falling to the Lady Lions. The win came in five sets, with Troup prevailing 27-25, 21- 25, 23-25, 25-20 and 15-11.

      The Whitehouse Ladycat varsity volleyball team claimed the championship in the consolation bracket in the ETBU tournament last Saturday in Marshall. Whitehouse defeats Mineola
      The Ladycats easily handled Mineola, 25-9, 25-14, 25-11, at home Tuesday night. Joanna Blake had 23 assists, seven digs and 17 points, including two aces. Katy Kidwell also registered 13 kills, 11 points, two blocks and one dig.
