Auditions set for TJC's 'Nutcracker'

Attention, aspiring sugar plum fairies and dancing mice ...

Auditions for Tyler Junior College's annual production of the holiday classic, Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker" ballet, will be held Saturday, Sept. 8 in the TJC dance studio (Room 125) located in the Ornelas Health and Physical Education Center on the college's main campus.

More than 100 roles are open to ages ranging from six through adult.

Audition times are: 10-11 a.m., ages six to eight; 11 a.m. to noon, ages nine to 12; noon to 1 p.m., ages 13-18; and 1-2 p.m., adults.

Performances are scheduled for Friday through Sunday, Nov. 30 through Dec. 2, in TJC's Wise Auditorium.
