Marie G. Maresh Stuth

Mass for Marie G. Maresh Stuth, 93, of Waco was celebrated Aug. 29 at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. Albert Laforet officiating.

Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of Wilkinson, Hatch, Bailey Funeral Home, Waco.

Mrs. Stuth died Aug. 24, 2007 in a Tyler hospice. She was born Aug. 29, 1913 in Dime Box to Adolph and Lydia Maresh. She graduated from Ennis High School in 1931 and Santa Rosa School of Nursing in San Antonio in 1934. She worked as a registered nurse for 50 years in Kingsville, Robstown and Waco, retiring from Providence Hospital in 1985, with 28 years service. She was a member of the Catholic Church during her lifetime, singing in the choir, and as a member of various organizations.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Henry E. Stuth; brother, Henry Maresh; sister, Betty Unterbrink and great-granddaughter, Kelly Ann Stuth.

Survivors include her son, Hank Stuth, Troup; daughter, Marilynn Yalch, Rocky Mount, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ken Stuth, Mark Yalch, Michael Stuth, Eric Yalch, Steve King and Paul Berndt.
