Shirley Phillips Wright

Services for Shirley Phillips Wright, 66 of Crossett, Ark., mother of a Whitehouse resident, were held Aug. 18, at Jones Funeral Home, Crossett, with Brothers Stuart Sherman and Darrell Dean officiating.

Mrs. Wright died Aug. 15, 2007 in Arkansas. She was born Jan. 18, 1941 to the late Carl and Ruby Harrison Phillips, was a homemaker and a Baptist. She owned and operated The Wright Place Garden Center for more than 25 years. She was preceded in death by son, Francis Goodwin Wright II and brothers, Arthur Phillips and Wesley Phillips.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Robert N. Wright of Crossett, Ark.; son, Robert N. Wright Jr., Crossett; daughter, Robin Wright Brumbelow, Whitehouse; brother, Jimmy Phillips, Magnolia, Ark.; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Scott Sherman, Roger Hale, David Cobb, Aaron Wright, Robert N. Wright, Jr. and Jimmy Phillips. Memorials may be made to Special Olympics, 2115 Main St., North Little Rock, Ark. 72114.
