Chappells celebrate golden anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Chappell of Tyler are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with their family in Tyler.

Mr. Chappell of Troup married the former Shirlyn Whitesides of Troup on Aug. 30, 1957 in Tyler.

He served two years in the Army in Korea and retired after 30 years with La Gloria Oil and Gas in Tyler.

Mrs. Chappell is a homemaker and a volunteer in several service organizations. She is also involved in many activities at Southern Oaks Baptist Church where the couple are members.

Their children and spouses who will celebrate with them are Danny and Teresa Chappell of Palestine, Linda and Tony Ray of Tyler and Polly and Rob Chennault of Tyler.

Also included in the celebration are their grandchildren Michael and Zack Ray, Kelly Chappell and Madison, Olivia and Griffin Chennault.
