Lady Tigers stop Waskom
      Troup's Lady Tigers scored a road win over Waskom Tuesday night, 25-19, 25-21 and 25- 16. The victory followed a third place finish in the Leverett's Chapel Invitational Tourney, held Saturday, Sept. 1. Senior Valerie York received All-Tournament honors.

Whitehouse downs Mineola
      The Whitehouse Ladycats cruised to a victory last Tuesday over Mineola at Wildcat Arena by scores of 25-9, 25-14, and 25- 11. Leading the way in service points on the night was Joanna Blake with 17 points followed by Stephanie Alexander and Erica Fuller with 13 each, and Katy Kidwell with 11.

      The Ladycat JV kept its season record unblemished with a victory over Mineola last Tuesday night by scores of 25-14 and 25-13. The win improves their record to 7-0 headed into district play this week.

      The Whitehouse freshmen opened the season last Thursday with a convincing 39-0 win over the visiting Jackrabbits from Forney. The win was even more impressive knowing that Forney had only suffered one loss the prior year in eighth grade.

Troup Faces Bullard in Volleyball
     Troup's volleyball teams faced stiff competition against Bullard last Friday, with all three squads losing. The varsity score was 10-25, 20-25 and 7-25. In the JV contest, Troup lost 25-20, 19-25 and 10-15. The frosh went down in two, 16-25 and 23-25.
