Lady Tigers stop Waskom

Troup's Lady Tigers scored a road win over Waskom Tuesday night, 25-19, 25-21 and 25- 16.

The victory followed a third place finish in the Leverett's Chapel Invitational Tourney, held Saturday, Sept. 1.

Senior Valerie York received All-Tournament honors.

In Tuesday's district-opener over Waskom, the Lady Tigers were led by Christina Cline with 52 assists, Janna Ross with six kills and Lauren Worl with four kills and six blocks.

"We played very tonight, and we keep improving," said head coach Arden Johnson. "I am very happy with how far they have come."

Next up for the Lady Tigers is a home match against Leverett's Chapel on Friday.
