Driver safety course set Sept. 26-27

An AARP driver safety course will be offered on Wednesday, Sept. 26 and Thursday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch from noon to 1 p.m. provided by the church. The course is sponsored by First United Methodist Church, 202 E. Duval St. in Troup. Membership in AARP is not required to take the course.

The course covers basic driving rules, crash prevention, the effects of aging and medication on driving skills and other topics. The fee is $10 per person.

This classroom refresher course is designed for drivers age 50 and over, but any age certificate and may be eligible for a discount on their auto insurance.
