New owner to offer Lil Bit of Everything' Lil' Bit of Everything is a shop that will always be evolving by using the items from the community. The new owner has decided to provide a place where anyone can share their passion for arts, crafts, antiques and collectibles with one another by accessing the consignment shop. Located at 300 Hwy. 110 South, the shop has always been a place to find those neat items to add to your collection or meet a need in your home decor. The changes will also provide great gift ideas, some of which are unique and hand made. A variety of talent is being woven together to provide a specialty shop atmosphere with down-home hospitality. Shop owner Yyuvone Childers is a native of Whitehouse and hopes to provide opportunities and outlets for anyone to share their passions by sharing some of the crafts that are slowly dying due to the commercialism in our world. Along with the shop, she has plans to provide the opportunity for a trades day on the fourth Saturday of each month, beginning Sept. 22. Booth spaces are available in 10x20 sections for $30 to anyone desiring to have a presence in the community trades day. With the support of the community, the trades day activities will benefit many of our hometown businesses as visitors come to shop, said Childers, who has a big vision for Lil' Bit of Everything. In the near future, there will be arts and crafts classes, Bible studies and other events that will provide activities for the citi- zens of the Whitehouse area. Anyone interested in placing items in the shop or making reservations for the trades day should contact Childers as soon as possible. Hours of operation will be Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but will expand to additional days of the week to meet the needs of the customers. A holiday open house will be announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime, make plans to visit the shop and the vendors at the trades day activities on Saturday, Sept. 22. |
