Billie Joe James

Graveside memorial services for Billie Joe James, 79, of Tyler were held Sept. 9 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery, Tyler, under direction of Hilliard Funeral Home, Van. Mrs. James died Sept. 5, 2007 in Tyler.

She was born Feb. 11, 1928 in Memphis to the late Jessie William and Mary Kathrine Miller James. She lived in Tyler most of her life, and graduated from John Tyler High School and Barrow's Beauty School. She was a homemaker and member of Untied Methodist Church of Bullard.

Survivors include sons, Jim Allen Wansley and Jessie William Wansley, both of Whitehouse; daughter, Debbie Lou Wansley, Marlin; sister, Carol Stroud, Bullard; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
