Hightowners celebrate 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Hightower

Aubrey and Millie Hightower of Whitehouse will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Sept. 22 with family and friends at Gateway Baptist Church from 2-4 p.m. in the Family Life Center.

Aubrey Hightower and the former Millie Walander were united in marriage on Sept. 21, 1957 in Rhode Island. Following 20 years in the United States Navy, the couple took root in Whitehouse.

Their family includes Kathy and Bobby Reeves, Larry and Jonna Hightower, Gary Hightower, Virginia Hightower all of Whitehouse and Gerald Hightower of Tyler. Grandchildren are April Reeves, Ashley and Travis Bernholtz and Payton and Kamryn Hightower all of Whitehouse as well as Kristin Hightower of Tyler and Brandon Hightower who is currently in England serving in the United States Navy. Great grandchildren are Rosiland and Landon Bernholtz of Whitehouse.
