Junior high opens year

The eighth grade Ladycat volleyball teams opened action on the road last Monday with matches at Nacogdoches Moses. The "B" team opened the year winning their match 25-15 and 25-22. Leading the way for the Ladycats was Taylor Allen with 12 service points including 6 aces and JaAndria Williams with 8 service points and 4 aces.

The Ladycat "A" team followed suit winning their match by scores of 25-23 and 25-20. Top players on the night were Courtney Carter with 9 service points, Kenzie Patterson with 8 and Madison Melrose with 7.

Both eighth grade teams and the seventh grade Ladycats will be in action on Saturday the 15th at the annual Whitehouse Junior High Ladycat Tournament.

Coach Shari Knight has been pleased with the progress and hard work of these young ladies and asks that everyone come out and support them in the tournament.
