Hilltop CC reports recent results

Hilltop Country Club in Troup has announced recent results from its scramble formats, as well as Friday double low ball competition.

In the Thursday afternoon scramble on Sept. 6, team members Paul Hinkle, Eugene Toole, Alex Turner, Steve Snows, Robin Kisling and Capt. Davey Hamilton finished first. Hamilton also took first in the closest to the hole competition on number eight.

In second were Mike Graham, Scott Snyder, Mark Snyder, Armour Hays and M.A. Ghene.

The Tuesday senior scramble on Aug. 28 saw the first place team shoot an eightunder par.

Members of the first-place team were Ron Dohse, Andy Griffin, Oran Whorton and Jack Gowen.

Also shooting eight-under, were secondplace team members Billy White, Stan Wilkinson, Elmer Sadler, Billie Sadler and

The third-place team finished with seven under. They were Brad Reagan, Morris Turner, Gerald Shields and Tommy Parrott.

Wilkinson shot closest to the hole on number six, and Parrott on the 17th.

The Friday double low ball competition, held Sept. 7, featured a tie for first place on the front nine, with both teams shooting minus two.

Team one consisted of Roger Chesley, Kyle Cooksey, Adrian McGlaun and Dudley Brookshire.

Team two consisted of Terry Reid, Gary Hamilton, Kevin Bruney and Bob Brown.

On the back nine, team one took the lead another minus two score.

Hilltop also reported a special recent round for 73-year-old Jack Harris.

Playing Aug. 22, Harris shot a 72, with Brandon Johnston, Brad Reagan and Dudley Brookshire as witnesses.
