      Meet the Teacher is scheduled tonight at Whitehouse Junior High School. The event is from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with parents asked to meet in the gym at 6 p.m. for a brief meeting.       Marvin Beaty, superintendent of Troup ISD, spoke to superintendents, principals, curriculum directors and Reading First coordinators from all over Texas at the Reading First Leadership Summit held at the Westin Galleria Hotel in Houston on Sept. 14.

WHS yearbooks are in
      Whitehouse High School graduates can pick up their 2006-2007 yearbooks at the front office of the school. There are a few extra copies. These will be sold on a first come-first served basis for $50 each. Also, it is not too late to or- der the 2007-2008 yearbook.
