Ladycats perfect in district play
      The Whitehouse Ladycats kept their unbeaten district record intact last week with home wins over Jacksonville on Tuesday night and then defeating Marshall on Friday night. Tuesday night's match against Jacksonville saw the Ladycats come away with a dominant win by scores of 25-8, 25-7, and 25-8.

JV tames Panthers
      The Whitehouse JV continued its solid play early in the season with a 35-7 win over the Mabank Panthers at Wildcat Stadium last week. The Wildcats wasted little time getting on the board as QB Preston Conder hit Kevin Hickman with a quick pass on the second play from scrimmage.

      Troup's eighth grade volleyball teams and seventh grade team all came away with wins Monday over Timpson. In the eighth grade "A" game, the Lady Tigers won 25- 14, 25-15, with Allie Bowers listed as player of the game. The "B" team was led by Cassie Mason and won a close match, 25-22, 25-23.

Seventh, eighth 'B' squads drop season openers
      The Wildcat junior high teams began their season last week playing Mabank. Last Tuesday, the seventh grade teams traveled to Mabank to take on the Panthers. The "B" team lost to the Panthers, 18-0, and the "A" team posted an impressive 20-0 win on the road.
