Ladycats perfect in district play

The Whitehouse Ladycats kept their unbeaten district record intact last week with home wins over Jacksonville on Tuesday night and then defeating Marshall on Friday night.

Tuesday night's match against Jacksonville saw the Ladycats come away with a dominant win by scores of 25-8, 25-7, and 25-8.

Jordan Knight would lead the offensive attack with 14 kills and 8 points. Katy Kidwell would contribute 13 points and 6 kills.

Joanna Blake led the way with 19 assists and 19 points on the night. Erica Fuller also played a solid defensive game and contributed 10 points.

Knight would lead the way in Friday's match with Jacksonville as she contributed 13 kills, 12 digs, and 9 service points as the Ladycats came away with a 25-20, 25-13, 25-20 victory.

Blake would run the offensive attack with 19 assists and add 11 service points while Christine Ford would provide 18 assists along with 8 kills and 16 service points.

Kidwell, along with Sadie Hilburn and Stephanie Alexander, would contribute 10, 15, and 6 points, respectively.

With the two home wins, the Ladycats moved their record for the year to 14-6, and most importantly, 4-0 in district play.

The Whitehouse JV defeated both Jacksonville and Marshall (25-10, 25-13 and 25-7, 25-15) to move to 4-0 in district play while the freshman team also defeated Jacksonville

25-18 and 26-24) and Marshall (25-13 and 28-26) to move to 4-0 in district.

The Ladycats will continue district play tomorrow night at home against the Henderson Lady Lions.
