Ladycats thump Jacksonville

The Whitehouse junior high Ladycats scored a double win over Jacksonville, hosting the Lady Maidens on Sept. 10.

The "B" team took a win for the night with scores of 25-14 and 25-8. Top scorers for the night were Hannah Herrington with 14 service points, Sierra Kennedy 12, and Jessica Hernandez, Kelsey Wade and JaAndrea Williams all with 4 points each.

Once again the "A" team fol- lowed suit in true Ladycat style. They finished the evening by beating the Maidens with scores of 25-18 and 25-20. Top scorers for the "A" team were Erica Jordan 10 points, Madison Melrose 9, and Rachel Garlitz with 6.

The seventh-graders have yet to play district, but the eighth-graders are 2-0.

Next up for the teams are road games against Hallsville on Monday, Sept. 24.
