Troup man jailed for child abuse

A 9-month-old girl remains in critical condition with severe head trauma in Children's Hospital in Dallas. Accused of violently shaking the baby and causing her injuries, as well as injuries sustained by her twin brother, is Delbert Alonza Kincade, 22, of Troup.

Kincade is believed to be the father of the children.

According to Tyler police the children's mother came in from outside to find the baby girl on the living room floor having seizures. She was rushed to a walk-in clinic near the apartment and then transported to East Texas Medical Center.

The mother stated that Kincade was the only adult in the apartment at the time.

Kincade was arrested for first-degree felony injury to a child charges and remains jailed on $500,000 bond.

The prognosis for the baby girl appears bleak. Her twin brother has been released and placed into foster care.
