Justine Glenda Sheffield Poole

ALTO - Services for Justine Glenda Sheffield Poole, 75 of Alto, are scheduled for noon Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Lionel Whitaker officiating.

Burial will be in Sweet Union Cemetery under direction of O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home, Alto.

Mrs. Poole died Sept. 21, 2007 in Alto.

She was born Oct. 6, 1931 in Kennard to Elbert and Velma Wallace Sheffield. She lived in Alto most of her life and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. She was a cook and worked with the Head Start program at Alto Independent School District 27 years.

She was preceded in death by sons, James Poole and Raymond Poole; infant daughter; four brothers; and one sister. Survivors include husband, Acie Poole, Alto; sons, Archie Poole, Woodville, Acie Poole Jr., Houston, Jessie Poole, Jacksonville, and Keith Poole, Alto; daughters, Arleen Lacy, Whitehouse, Brenda Ross and Marsha Ross, both of Lufkin, Joyce Davis, Smithville, Wilma Johnson, Cleveland, and Vanessa Thacker, Alto; brothers, Cecil Sheffield, Tadmor, and Ronald White, Crockett; sister, Alberta Bookman, Houston; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
