Dorothy Dell Gunn Petty

SULPHUR SPRINGS - Services for Dorothy Dell Gunn Petty, 65, of Sulphur Springs were held Sept. 23 at Beaty Funeral Home, Winnsboro, with the Revs. James Diamond and Dale Ruggles officiating.

Burial was in Winterfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Petty died Sept. 20, 2007 in Tyler.

She was born Jan. 23, 1942 in Winterfield community to Henry and Jewell Pace Gunn. She worked as a receiving clerk for Winn- Dixie in Sulphur Springs, and later was a home health caregiver. She was a member of Cedar Crest Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Gunn and Mickey Gunn.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Jerry Petty, Sulphur Springs; daughters, Shelly Petty, Sulphur Springs, and Alicia Coats, Whitehouse; brother, Ronny Gunn, Pickton; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Flourney, Dan Petty, Don Petty, Sonny Moss, Clifford Moss and Brandon Gunn.

Honorary pallbearers were Dan Schwertner, Billy Jack Gunn, Leon Gunn and Bill McGlamery.

Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
