WHS homecoming 'Mission Possible 007' includes parade, court presentation, dance

Students of the week for Sept. 24-28 at Whitehouse High School are seniors Courtney George and Jordan Scott.
A new homecoming queen for Whitehouse High School will be crowned in pregame ceremonies beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12 in Wildcat Stadium. Theme for homecoming is Mission Possible 007, and the community is invited to join in the homecoming activities.

Homecoming court members will be announced during the Pep Rally on Friday, Sept. 28.

The homecoming parade begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6 at the high school and will be followed by a community pep rally. Groups can decorate floats in the teacher parking lot from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. that day.

Any local group that is interested in participating in the parade should contact Jessica Huddleston or David Bell at the high school.

The highlight of homecoming week will be the presentation of the homecoming court and the crowning of the new queen on Oct. 12.

The Wildcats will face off against Pine Tree at the homecoming game.

Homecoming festivities will continue on Saturday, Oct. 13 with a dance at the high school from 8:30-11:30 p.m. Students who are members of the WHS Parent Teacher Student Association will get in free with their membership card; all other WHS students will pay $6. Students of the week for Sept. 24-28 at Whitehouse Junior High are Katelyn Post, seventh grade, and Ethan Sala, eighth. Katelyn's favorite class is English and dancing is her hobby. Ethan enjoys math class and is a member of the band and football team.
