Ladycats split with Kilgore

The Whitehouse Ladycat eighth grade was in action on Monday, Sept. 17 against the Lady Bulldogs from Kilgore.

In the "B" game, the Ladycats fought for a hard three game match victory by scores of 25-13, 18-25, and 25-19.

Standouts in the game for the Ladycats were Sierra Kennedy (15 service points, 5 aces), Marie Cotton (14 service points, 4 aces), JaAndrea Williams (11 service points) and Taylor Allen (10 service points, 5 aces).

With the win, the "B" team remained undefeated on the season.

The "A" team would not fair as well as they suffered their first defeat on the season by scores of 22-25 and 13-25. The loss puts their season record at 2-1.

Standouts in the match were Erica Jordan (10 service points, 1 ace), Madison Melrose (6 service points) and Michelle Stewart (4 service points, 1 ace).

The Ladycats will be at home next Monday, Oct. 1, and Coach Shari Knight encourages everyone to come out and support the teams and enjoy "an action packed night" of volleyball.
