TMS volleyball sweeps Waskom

The middle school Lady Tigers had a strong showing Monday, with all three teams defeating their Waskom counterparts.

The eighth grade "A" team started things off on the right note with a 25-7, 25-2 win.

Ashley Walker earned player of the week honors for the eighth grade.

Walker took over the serve with Troup leading 5-2 and served out the next 20 points.

The seventh grade "A" won 25-14, 25-12, with Amanda Sanford the player of the week.

Chelsea Metzig received the honor for the seventh grade "B" team, which won 25-11 and then hung on for a 25-19 victory in the second game.

The Lady Tigers will be at home again next week, playing Arp at 5 p.m.
