Kilgore subdues Wildcats, 27-16
      The game plan for Kilgore coming into last Friday's district opener against Whitehouse was simple: run the ball and control the clock keeping the Whitehouse offense on the sideline.

Troup records 3rd loss
      Building off a strong first half, Troup's arch rival Arp handed the team its third straight loss, 28-14, in last Friday's road game. The district-opening defeat gives Troup an 0-1 conference record and a 1-3 season mark, with the lone win over Sabine.

Ladycats suffer first district loss
      The Whitehouse Ladycats went to Hallsville last Tuesday trying to finish the first half of district undefeated but returned home with a stinging defeat at the hands of the hometown Hallsville Ladycats by scores of 16-25, 18-25 and 17-25.

Seventh-graders play 3 games in Jacksonville
      The Whitehouse seventh grade football teams traveled to Jacksonville on Sept. 25 and played three games against the Braves. In the "C" game, the Wildcats were led by the "King" connection. In the second quarter, Kaleb King hit Kalen King for a TD pass to put the Cats up 6-0.

Eighth grade game canceled with Troup trailing Arp, 0-6
      The Troup Tiger eighth grade team was in the middle of a close hard-fought battle when the game was called at halftime due to lightning. Troup was trailing 0-6 when the halftime performance of the Arp Tigers majorettes was stopped and fans were asked to leave the bleachers.
