Goodwill starts electronic recycling Goodwill Industries, located at 409 W. Locust in downtown Tyler, is now recycling electronics in Tyler for no charge. Computer systems, computer monitors, keyboards, servers, power supply units, connectors, cables, wire, telephones, cell phones, video and audio equipment, DVD players, VCRs, circuit boards and computer cards, LCD flat screens, peripherals, printers, fax machines, scanners and televisions will all be accepted. Goodwill employees will be disassembling the items to be recycled and Goodwill guarantees data removal on all hard drives based on the Department of Defense Standards and Guidelines. Electronics will be accepted at Goodwill Drop Off Locations in Tyler, 409 W. Locust or 1817 WSW Loop 323, and the City of Tyler Recycling Collection Center, located at 414 N. Bois D'Arc Ave. Goodwill locations in Athens, Canton, Cedar Creek, Henderson, Jacksonville, Mineola and Palestine are also participating. |
