Got junk? Get rid of it Saturday ...

The Clean Whitehouse Day is this Saturday, with unwanted items being accepted from 8 a.m. to noon at the Recycle Center.

All recyclables will be accepted, as well as large household items such as furniture. Items that will not be accepted are wet paint, household trash, batteries or yard waste.

This twice yearly event is a joint effort between the city and Keep Whitehouse Beautiful to provide citizens a safe and appropriate way to dispose of unwanted items.
