Homecoming queen nominees announced

Homecoming queen nominees were announced at the pep rally Friday at Whitehouse High School. They are seniors Jasmine Azghani, Sarah Carter, Lesley Craig, Rachel Lunsford, Kayla Mason and Lindsay Pritchard.

The new Queen will be crowned in pre-game ceremonies beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12 in Wildcat Stadium. Theme for Homecoming is Mission Possible 007, and the community is invited to join in the Homecoming activities.

The Homecoming Parade begins at 6 p.m. this Saturday at the high school and will be followed by a Community Pep Rally. Groups can decorate floats in the teacher parking lot from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. that day.

Any local group that is interested in participating in the parade should contact Jessica Huddleston or David Bell at the high school.

The highlight of Homecoming Week will be the presentation of the Homecoming Court and the crowning of the new Queen on Oct. 12.

The Wildcats will face off against Pine Tree at the Homecoming game.
