Eighth grade "A" team picks up win for Lady Tigers

Troup's middle school volleyball teams fought four hard games with Arp Monday, with the eighth grade "A" team pulling out the lone victory.

The girls won the first game 26-24, lost the second 18-25 and then pulled away in the winnertake all third, 25-16. Players of the week are Brittany Alfred and Nesah Handy.

The eighth grade "B" team lost a very tight opening game 29-30 and the second 15-25.

Player of the week is Jessica Bender.

The seventh grade "A" team lost 18-25 and 22-25, with Kayla Lindsey their player of the week.

The "B" team lost a threegame match 22-25, 26-24 and 11- 15. Mariela Esquivel earned player of the week honors.
