Seal's rodeo success continues to mount
William Seal is doing Whitehouse proud again with his skill in the bull riding arena. Rec ently Seal traveled to Wade's Arena in Terrell to compete in the Texas High School Rodeo Association Region IV Rodeo. The Region holds 10 rodeos from September to February with the finals held in March. "Region IV does things a little different than the rest," said dad Ben Seal. "They only have rough stock at five rodeos but you have to ride two bulls per rodeo." Seal took fourth place on his first bull and second place on his next. Only two other riders covered (rode) both of their bulls. Seal is currently in second place with his next competition on Oct. 28. In his up-and-coming pro rodeo career with the United Pro Rodeo Association, Seal took second place on a bull called "Bad Howard" last weekend scoring a 69 and taking home some prize money. His next pro competition will be in Lindale on Oct. 13 at the Shrine Bull Fest. Seal is now in seventh place for "Rookie of the Year" and is in 29th place on the money board out of 65. He only competed in nine rodeos out of 96 this year and has chosen not to ride in the 4 State High School Rodeo Association this year so he can devote more time to the UPRA. |
