Ministerial Alliance honoring civil servants

All Whitehouse citizens are invited and encouraged to gather at the City Park at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13 to honor civil servants.

The Whitehouse Ministerial Alliance is hosting a community benefit titled "Appreciation Station" for Volunteer Fire Department, paramedics and police department personnel.

"Our desire is to provide an enjoyable afternoon in the City Park to say 'thank you' for the countless hours of ser vice these men and women provide for our citizens," said Yyuvone Childers, event coordinator.

An opportunity for individuals and businesses to make monetary donations will be available, as well as a time where citizens can thank the civil servants personally for being on call 24/7 for the protection of all.

"Appreciation Station" will provide activities for children and a program of music, drama and testimonies to honor the invaluable service of firemen, paramedics and policemen.

Participating churches are Ambassador, First Assembly, Gateway Baptist, Mt. Carmel Baptist, Pleasant Hill Baptist and United Methodist.

"Come show your support for the tireless efforts of these brave men and women," said Childers.
