      Troup's varsity Lady Tigers scored two wins last week, defeating Union Grove on Tuesday in a non-district match-up and downing West Rusk Friday to improve their conference mark to 6-3 heading into this week's games against Arp and Tatum.

Eighth grade 'A' team vying for championship
      Troup's eighth grade A volleyball team scored a big win over rival Tatum, claiming a 25-20 and 25-23 victory and bragging rights for a perfect season heading into their final match-up against Elysian Fields on Monday. The eighth grade B team also won, 25-11 and 25-17.

Eighth grade teams fall to Pine Tree
      Both eighth grade squads fell at home last Thursday to the Pine Tree Pirates by identical scores of 22-6. In the "B" game, things looked good early as the Pirates fumbled on the first play from scrimmage, and Corey Davis pounced on the loose ball.

Junior high Ladycats down Lions
      Although Columbus Day may have been a holiday for several, the Ladycat Jr. High volleyball team had its holiday cut short as both teams traveled to Henderson to take on the Lady Lions. The "B" team started the evening by pushing the Lady Lions to three games.

      The Wildcat seventh grade football teams entertained the Pirates from Pine Tree last Tuesday winning one of the three games. In the "C" game, the Wildcats fell to the Pirates 14-0 but got solid performances from Ryan Morgan, Anthony Sanchez, Brady Johnson and Olan Cofer.
