Parkinsonians of East Texas meeting

Parkinsonians of East Texas will meet Thursday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at East Texas Medical Center Pavilion, 801 Clinic Dr., Tyler. The speaker will be Shelly Rocha who is a speech, language and swallowing therapy certified vitalstem provider. Her topic will be electronic stimulation for swallowing defects. Parking is free for the meeting.

Whitehouse library activities

WH Recycle Center temporarily closed

The Whitehouse Recycle Center has been closed due to a fire at the city utility barn. Everyday recyclable items such as paper, plastic, glass and aluminum can be taken to the Tyler recycle center located at 418 N. Bois D'Arc.

VFW Post 1799 open daily
