Orlie J. Baker

JACKSONVILLE - Memorial services for Orlie J. Baker, 83, of Jacksonville were held Oct. 12 at First United Methodist Church, Jacksonville. Arrangements are with Thompson Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Mr. Baker died Oct. 1, 2007 in a Tyler hospice.

He was born in Clarkton, Mo., and grew up in Memphis. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and worked in the finance and banking industry in Houston prior to moving to Jacksonville in 1989. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Jacksonville.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Jeanne K. Baker, Jacksonville; daughters, Becky Baker, Kennard, and Jan Ott, Troup; son, Frank Baker, Garland; two grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.
