Middle school f-ball teams record Waskom, WR wins

A combined seventh and eighth grade Tiger team defeated its West Rusk opponents last Thursday, 32-14.

Kiki Shanks had two long runs of more than 50 yards each for two touchdowns, and Seth Gibson added two scoring runs.

Quarterback Carson Clark was 3-of-3 passing, including two successful two-point conversions to Shanks and Kirby Lyon.

Troup coaching staff praised the team's defensive effort in the decisive win.

Clark also had four pass completions the previous week against Waskom, including two TD passes, in a 20-18 victory.
