Whitehouse Cross Country Team

The Whitehouse cross country teams participated in the Hallsville 'Running with the Cows' race Saturday, Oct. 13. The girls teams won a second place trophy and the boys team placed 3rd. The top 15 runners received medals in each race. Brittney Wilkens placed third with a time of 13:32 followed by Whitney Rankin, 12th, 14:50; Danielle Nelson, 13th,14:52; Judith Clark, 14th, 15:01; and Alex Barnes, 23rd,16:21. The boys were led by Timothy Priest who placed 7th with a time of 17:53. Others particating were Solomon Ortiz, 12th, 18:42; Travis Tincher, 14th, 18:52; Adam Lindenmuth, 17th, 19:05; Kevin Kapka, 27th, 20:50; and Ricardo Medina, 32nd, 23:16. The teams will next run at the district meet held in Jacksonville on Oct. 25.
