Smith Co. gardening guide, calendar on sale

The 2008 Northeast Texas Gardening Guide and Calendar is now available to area gardeners. Written by the Smith County Master Gardeners, a volunteer organization of Texas Cooperative Extension, the calendar provides a wealth of information for the NE Texas region.

The guide lists a month-bymonth "to-do" list on plant care; bed preparation; pest, disease and weed control. This year the guide will also feature information on Poisonous Plants, Accessible Gardening, Rainwater Harvesting and Container Gardening..

The Gardening Guide and Calendar will be available for $5 at the following locations:
