Amanda Kay Barfield
Amanda was born on July 24, 1975 in Jacksboro. At three months of age she moved to Whitehouse where she lived most of her life. She graduated from Whitehouse High School and attended Tyler Junior College. Amanda was formerly employed by the Tyler Municipal Court and currently employed by the Whitehouse Municipal Count. She was a member of Southern Oaks Baptist church where she and Traye taught a second grade Sunday school class and was involved in mission work. She was also a member of the Whitehouse Women's Civic League. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Clay Ross and sister, Pepper Lynn Green. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, William J. 'Traye' Barfield III; daughter, Kaylee Barfield; parents, Darrell and Tina Crymes; sisters, Jodi Nipper and Sarah Crymes, all of Whitehouse, Amanda Carlson and husband Chris of Murphy and Julie Davidson of Deport; brothers, Dillon Crymes of Whitehouse and Billy J. Green of Dierks, Ark.; grandparents, Patsy Ross of Carthage and Ruby Crymes of Whitehouse; great-grandmother, Ouida Wall of Carthage; nephew, Christian Nipper of Whitehouse; niece, Kinsey Carlson of Murphy; cousin, Courtni Frizzell of Grand Saline; aunts and uncles, Teresa and Greg Crume of Onalaska, Charlotte and Herschell Crymes and Rose and Morris Crymes, all of Whitehouse; father-in-law, Bill Barfield and wife Kathy; mother-in-law, Ann Hembre and husband C.J.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Josh Dickens, Mark Cook, Andy Parker, Jim Parker, Rickey Parker, Chris Vinson, and Brad Jordon. Honorary pallbearers are officers of Municipal Court of Whitehouse and Whitehouse Police Department. Amanda will be loved and remembered forever. The family will receive friends at Lloyd James Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26. |
