Zora Olive Hanson

Graveside services for Zora Olive Hanson, 96, of Troup were held Oct. 24 in Bradford Cemetery, Troup, with the Rev. Mike Jeter officiating under direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mrs. Hanson died Oct. 21, 2007 in a Troup nursing home.

She was born Dec. 22, 1910 in Grandview to Thomas Jefferson and Mary Pearl Humphries Duvall. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Troup.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; husband Milven Hanson; son Larry Hanson; sisters Leona Martin and Ruth Eubanks, and brothers Jerry Duvall, Rufus Duvall and Richard Duvall.

She is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann Roberts, Chapel Hill; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Moore and Verda and Elza Moler, all of Troup; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Olene Duvall, Batesburg, South Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Sarah Allen Hanson, Arp; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
