Abstinence program set for WJHS students
Preview of Aim for Success available to parents on Nov. 5

Aim for Success will be presenting their program on Teens, Sex and Choices to the eighth graders at Whitehouse Junior High School on Nov. 6 and to their parents and the public the night before, Nov. 5, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the WJHS Theater.

Aim for Success is a nationally acclaimed educational organization and the largest provider of sexual abstinence programs in the nation. These programs cover the risks of teenage pregnancy, the epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases, the pain of emotional scars, and much more.

Aim for Success presented about 2,500 of these healthbased programs last year. Ninety percent of those programs were in public schools across the nation, reaching about 200,000 students and their parents. Aim for Success has received local, state and national recognition for their work in public schools.

The parent meeting includes a preview of the student program so they can see firsthand what the students will be hearing.

This program equips parents with the tools and medical information needed to communicate effectively with their children without embarrassment.

Parents learn how, when and why to talk to their children (toddlers to teens) about sex. Aim for Success believes parents should be their children's primar y sex educators, but they have found that many parents don't know how to approach this critical subject.
