Tigers suffer losses to rivals Arp, Tatum

The Lady Tigers suffered two district losses to Arp and Tatum last week, bringing their conference mark to 6-5 with results from Tuesday's home game with Elysian Fields unavailable at press time.

Troup lost at home to Arp last Tuesday, 14-25, 13-25 and 7-25.

Janna Ross and Niecy Stewart led their team with 6 kills each, followed by Haleigh Roach and Christina Cline with 2 each and Alex Collins and Jessica Ross with 1 each.

Roach and Stewart both notched 2 blocks, while Collins and Jessica Ross each had 1.

Brittney Westerman had 4 digs, followed by Valerie York and Janna Ross each with 2.

Jessica Ross and Janna Ross combined for three aces, while Cline led her team in assists with 15.

The contest with Tatum featured three tight games, with Troup falling 18-25, 24-26 and 23-25.

Stewart had 8 kills, Janna Ross 7 and Collins 1.

Stewart also led in blocks with 4, followed by Janna Ross and Jessica Ross each with 1.

Westerman had a game-high 24 digs, followed by Collins with 4, Stewart 1 and Lauren Worl 1.

Cline notched 17 assists.
