Tatum pulls away from Troup, 50-18

Troup kept it close in the first half before ultimately losing to Tatum, 50-18, last Friday in the Eagles stadium.
The 14-12 halftime score looked promising, until Tatum outscored the Tigers 36-6 in the second half, including 22 unanswered points in the final quarter.
Troup falls to 1-3 in district and 2-5 on the season, while Tatum improves to 4-0 in district and 6-1 overall.
Both teams did most of their damage on the ground, with Troup picking up 294 yards on 56 carries, and Tatum grinding out 364 on 34 attempts.
Reginald Wade led the Tigers with 189 yards and two touchdowns. Thacher Riddle added 88 yards and one TD on a pass from Wade.
In the air, the Tigers were 6- of-18 for 83 yards, while Tatum was 3-of-6 for 84 yards.
The Tigers host Elysian Fields this week, with gametime at 7:30 p.m.
