      Troup High School is off to a great start this fall semester. We are continuing to build from momentum gained last year when our TAKS scores improved approximately 20 percent across the board.

WHS Choir plans 'Fall Follies' Saturday
      The WHS Choir will be presenting its first "Fall Follies," a night of musical review, acting and dancing. The show will be Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $3. The theme of the show is "I Love New York.

Veterans Day events set at WISD campuses
      Students at Whitehouse Junior High will continue their tradition of "Honoring All Who Served" with a ceremony on Friday, Nov. 9 in C.L. Nix Gym at 9 a.m. This annual event allows every student to honor the men and women of our military and to thank those who have protected our freedoms.

Theater department to present 'Pajama Game'
      Whitehouse High School Theatre will present the popular musical comedy "The Pajama Game" on Nov. 8, 10 and 13 at the WHS auditorium. Showtime is 7 p.m. for all performances; admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and $1 for children.
