Edward "Mr. Ed" Naivar

Memorial services for Edward "Mr. Ed" Naivar, 69, of Tyler were held Oct. 28 at Friendly Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Perry officiating under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.

Mr. Naivar died Oct. 18, 2007 at his residence.

He was born Dec. 7, 1937 in Taylor to the late Edward A. and Adella Hodon Naivar. He served in the Navy for 10 years and participated in the landing of Marines at DaNang, Vietnam. He worked with Haws Roofing for 20 years and for Whitehouse Independent School District for 15 years, where he was known as "Mr. Ed."

He was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Ada Hodon.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyne Naivar, Tyler; daughter, Cassie Bayless, Arp; brother, Joe Naivar, Austin; sisters, Doris Naivar Bell and Cathy Naivar Henderson, both of Taylor, and Vera Naivar Brill, Georgetown; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
