WHS Choir plans 'Fall Follies' Saturday

First-time event to mix music, theater, dancing
The WHS Choir will be presenting its first "Fall Follies," a night of musical review, acting and dancing.

The show will be Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $3.

The theme of the show is "I Love New York."

"The choir is going to New York this coming June, so the theme fit perfectly," said Amy McMichael, WHS choir director. "The program will have a variety of different music from Broadway musicals, big band swing, Roaring '20s, and doo-wop."

In addition to providing a showcase for talent at WHS, the debut event will serve as a fundraiser for the Choir Booster Club. During intermission, WCBC will sell hot cider, coffee and pumpkin rolls.

The evening's scheduled peformances include choir pieces and featured soloists, as well as a play about trying to get a big break on Broadway.
