PPCD and pre-K students at Higgins Intermediate capped their month of studying nursery rhymes with a Mother Goose Parade. Notes were sent home to parents asking them to find things around their homes for costumes. "This not only teaches the kids but it brings in parent involvement which only increases the results," said teacher Jayanna Williams. She added that learning nursery rhymes at a young age is a good start to pre-reading skills and promotes good literature.
