Wildcat youth basketball league signup under way

The 21st season of Youth League Basketball in Whitehouse is beginning with registration under way now for boys grades Pre-K through second until Nov. 12, and for boys grades three through six until Nov. 19.

The league is divided into four divisions: Developmental for Pre-K and K, Midget for first and second, Junior for third and fourth, and Major for fifth and sixth.

Practices begin Nov. 27 in WISD facilities with a Pre-Season Tourney on Dec. 15. Regular season begins Jan. 12. The season concludes on Feb. 23 with division championship tournaments.

Individual sign-ups are allowed in all divisions.

In the Developmental and Midget divisions, coaches may protect two players.

In the Junior Gold Division, coaches may protect four. In the Major Gold, coaches may only protect two.

Team entries (teams of eight or more) can enter in the Junior or Major Divisions and are classified as Platinum teams.

In the Junior Division, any player living or attending school in Whitehouse must play Junior Gold to be eligible to play on a Junior Platinum team

Registration forms can be picked up at Brookeshire's in Whitehouse, All- Star Barber Shop in Whitehouse, Sports Plus across from Trane, and Tyler Athletics next to Double Daves Pizza in Tyler.
