Junior Tigers notch wins over Elysian Fields, Tatum

Troup's subvarsity and middle school teams scored wins over Elysian Fields last week.

The Troup junior varsity earned a 14-6 victory in its first road game.

The Yellowjackets struck first to take the early 6-0 lead.

Troup's Jacob Moody scored both of the Tiger touchdowns - - one in the first quarter and one in the fourth. Ryan Nichols added the two-point conversion.

In the middle school game, Troup blanked Elysian Fields 8- 0.

The Tigers scored on their first drive of the game, capped by an eight-yard TD pass from Carson Clark to Kirby Lyon. Deandre Hawkins ran in the two-point conversion.

The Tigers were led offensively by the tough ground game of Hawkins, Dillon Goar and James Giles; Clark and Lyon also teamed up on another nice pass completion, this one for 34 yards.

The Troup defense was led by Goar, Rodney Anderson and Wesley Thompson.
