Boys basketball lock-in set Dec. 10 at WHS

The 10th Annual Whitehouse Boys Basketball Lock-In will be held Nov. 10th from 6 p.m. until midnight for boys grades K-8.

The evening of basketball fun features games, competitions, contests, food and drinks for all participating.

All boys attending will be grouped by age, and supervision, will be provided by WHS coaches, players, and parents.

The "night out" for parents costs $25. All proceeds go to the WHS Athletic Booster Club for the Boys Basketball Teams Abilene Tournament trip.

Youth league coaches meeting slated Nov. 11

Anyone interested in coaching or helping to coach a team in the Whitehouse Youth Basketball League for boys needs to attend a general coaches meeting on Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. in Wildcat Arena at Whitehouse High School.

Questions about the league, the draft and the upcoming season will be answered. Coaches for boys teams grade Ksixth are needed. A draft for boys grades Pre-K through second will be held Monday night Nov. 12 at WHS and for grades third-sixth on Nov. 19 at WHS.

Registration for boys grades Pre-K through second continues until Nov. 12 and for boys grades three through six until Nov. 19.

Practices begin Nov. 27 in WISD facilities with a Pre- Season Tourney on Dec. 15. Regular season begins Jan. 12. The season concludes on Feb. 23 with division championship tournaments.
